The company eSMART was founded in 2011 as a spin off of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (in Lausanne, Switzerland). Our company develops intelligent control systems for your home or workplace. These systems can be used locally or remotely an d show you where, when, and how you are consuming energy. As part of its rapid development, eSMART is currently recruiting for its R&D Team:

Backend Python Developer

YOUR MISSION 
You will be working on the development of our next generation Cloud solution, with a focus on API Endpoints and data management.

Development of APIs

• Participate in developing our backend software and ensuring that the code is top quality, focusing on API.

Handle gateways data flow

• Optimize data flow between customers' gateways and our databases.

System Administration Maintenance

• Deploy and manage scalable systems with high availability on AWS.
• Provide support for AWS systems, including monitoring and resolution of issues.

YOUR PROFILE

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineer ing Computer Science or similar Master is a plus.
• More than 4 years of experience in Python and the development of efficient and scalable code.
• Being familiar in using monitoring tools, and with database management (MySQL or Postgres) and web server management is mandatory.
• Experience with DevOps and with Jira, and Atlassian is a must.
• It is mandatory to have proficiency with git, GitLab, CI tools, and Linux AWS Certified SysOps Administrator Solution Architect will be cons idered as an advantage.
• Fluent either in spoken and written English or French, and you have fluency in the other.
• You are a good team player and would be happy to share your knowledge and experience with the team. You are aware of your responsibilities, an d work quality oriented with independence.
