The Information & Communication Technologies Department (heig-vd.ch/tic) and, specifically, the Reconfigurable & Embedded Digital Systems Institute (reds.heig-vd.ch) are looking for a talented engineer in the embedded system field.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSABILITIES

We are looking for a candidate who is highly motivated and interested in working with embedded software (mainly ARM) in a fast evolving research environment to support advanced research. The selected candidate will be responsible for the following tasks:

• Implement, document, and unit-test software (C/C++)
• Follow best practices for software version control and testing
• Implement , document, and test OS driver (Linux, Zephyr)
• Develop, test, and benchmark heterogeneous system architectures (GPU, FPGA)

KEY REQUIREMENTS

Master degree in Telecommunication, Electronics, or Computer Science. Comparable working experience in the field can be judged equivalent.

Good understanding of Hardware boards/systems

Autonomy, creativity, structured work and good analytical competences

Excellent communication skills; English or French required
